Go Beyond the Process

Design is about designing systems, not just screens, and ensuring each decision supports real user needs, scales over time, and fits into the broader experience.

A standard UX process—research, wireframing, testing, iterating—is foundational, but true design impact comes from going deeper. By applying design thinking and asking critical questions like What job is the user trying to do? What’s the most important information? and What happens next? you move beyond surface-level solutions.

Design Process

Research

Crafting problem statements & performing competitor analyses to understand what needs to be designed and the environment to create it in

User Interviews

Questioning users about their needs and goals, while observing their behaviors to see if they match

Personas

Establishing an overall understanding of each audience segment for reference during design in order to keep designs user centered

User Flows

Letting creativity run wild to discover various resolutions to the needs and goals of the user and business

Wireframing

Converting ideas into a visible layout, showing high-level user experience to align stakeholders with the big picture

Prototyping

Making wireframes interactive to build user empathy while gathering additional insights to iterate on

Testing

Testing & validating designs with users to collect additional feedback for iteration before they reach development

Iteration

Using feedback to create high quality, user friendly design.
