Creating Clarity from Complexity

Personas
The purpose of this design tool is to establishing an overall understanding of each audience segment for reference during design in order to keep designs user centered. Personas can be created from information gather during user interviews, empathy maps and other user research. It is important to incorporate user needs, goals, behaviors and pain-points.
In the past I have incorporated Psychographic Segmentations and the Big Five Personality Traits to help further define user behavior in an understandable form for stakeholders.

Transfer of Care
Created to define the behaviors & goals of the Transfer of Care Team, this persona was one of five teams that was needed to illustrate all of the touch points users encountered in the company.

Office Worker & Short Hall Driver
These personas detailed two of the user groups that used our Sleep Product. We had user groups in office settings, as well as, ones from the transportation industry, which made it very important to understand how the user was experiencing our product and in what type of environement.

Research Libraries
After several months it became apparent that we needed to collect all of our Personas in one location for our Cross-Functional Teams to reference. While I compiled the Persona Library, I saw the need to include the process and tools needed to build a persona from scratch.
